The active ingredient in
marijuana –THC- was discovered by a team of researchers at the Hebrew
University’s School of Pharmacy in 1970.
Now, a research team of German
and Israeli scientists (Andreas Zimmer of Bonn University’s Institute of
Molecular Psychiatry and Dr. Mona
Dvir-Ginzberg of the Hebrew University’s Faculty of Dental Medicine and the
late Professor Itai Bab) who conducted an experimental study with mice have
established that while old mice given
only a placebo displayed natural age–dependent learning and memory losses, the
cognitive functions of the mice treated with cannabis were just as good as the control group of younger rodents. See;

cure for dementia, study finds, Jerusalem Post, 05/09/2017
