About President Trump and Iran

The President’s erratic, reckless, unpredictable and bombastic utterances, radical decisions and threats remind me of what a fellow who coached women how to prevent being raped said: One of the techniques he taught his clients was (still is?) to start acting as if they were totally crazy, as the sight of a crazed woman often made the rapist-to-be to turn heels and scram.

Well, while the President’s conduct is causing discomfort  for a lot of people at home and abroad, I am tempted to think that  he is simply applying  the crazy woman routine to get  the results he seeks  by cowing  his enemies; one such enemy being  the Supreme Mullah of Iran and his entourage.

I notice that since Trump became president, they appear to have lost their bombast, their nerve to talk tough, pull new stunts and get their way, as they did with President Obama. For one thing, they already removed one of their genocidal ballistic missiles capable of carrying an atomic warhead from its launch pad.

Admittedly a small step, but then again, we are only at the beginning of Trump’s term.

Keep it up Donald, you may yet. put the fear of G-d into this terrorist gang at little or no cost. For all we know, this strategy might turn out to be just as good, if not better, than tearing up the foolish deal made by his predecessor.

If you think I am being inconsistent with what I previously said about Trump;well, as I said from the outset, I prefer to be a man of contradictions than a man of prejudice.
