A cinematographic gem: “Kedi”
For those who love cats, first
rate cinematography and foreign tourism without leaving town, I recommend you
go and see the documentary titled “Kedi” (cat) filmed in
Istanbul by Turkish cinematographer Ceyda Torun in 2016. This is a
Turkish/American production with English subtitles. (80 minutes).
You will find a good description
of the movie by Sheila O’Malley in RogerEbert.com
The documentary will be screened in
the Ottawa’s film repertory theatre Bytowne on March 17 to 23 inclusive.
If you happen to live in a city
which has a film repertory theater, the chances are that it will be screened in
your city as well. If so, be on the lookout for it.
Enjoyment is guaranteed.
